Leigh Sparrow – BIOGRAPHY
Leigh is an Australian who now lives full-time in France with his French wife
and their young sons. His international experience and his open minded and
informed approach made him the ideal candidate for the position of Winemaker at
Domaine de Sainte Rose.
Leigh studied Oenology at the
internationally renowned Roseworthy Campus of the University of Adelaide. He has
subsequently travelled extensively, gaining experience in large and small scale
wineries in both the new and old world wine growing regions of the world. His
ability to apply this old and new world experience to the winemaking at Sainte
Rose is an invaluable asset.
Leigh’s career reads like a winery “Who’s Who?”. It includes names such as
Simeon Wines in Australia, Weingut Pasler in Austria, E&J Gallo Wines in
California and Vignobles James Herrick in the Languedoc.
